Along the drive from Waitomo Village towards Marokopa are a variety of short walks including the Marokopa Falls Walk.

The easy 20 minute return walk passes through native tawa and nikau forest to reach the viewing platform for the falls.

The falls divides the Marokopa River into two fisheries, providing popular trout fishing spots along the river.

At 35m high, the Marokopa falls are said to be one of the most beautiful in the country and are well worth a visit.
