Fruit never tastes better than when it is freshly picked – warmed by the sun and oh so sweetly juicy. In the Waikato there are many berry farms and orchards that welcome visitors who are keen to pick their own, making for a great family day out, and a tasty one too.

Whether it’s strawberries, blueberries, apples, pears or persimmons – or even flowers – you’re after, check out this list of Waikato pick your own locations. If you don’t wish to pick your own, most farms and orchards also stock a good supply of fruit that’s already harvested for you and ready to take home.
