Welcoming Guests Through Our Doors Since 1872. Woodlands Estate was established as a 98,000-acre estate purchased from The Crown by The Piako Swamp Company for 2/6 (25 cents) an acre. The Homestead, restored to its former glory, was initially built as a Manager's residence between 1875 and 1881. It is primarily made of Kauri and still features some original weatherboards and roof iron. Woodlands Estate is looked after by a not-for-profit trust, with the gardens being well-maintained by the Waikato District Council. The overall historic and aesthetic value of the homestead and gardens has been maintained thanks to generous donations and voluntary time. The Trust extends its gratitude for the generous support of the community over the years.

Thundercross Valley Dirt Bike track was established in 1999 by owner and champion rider, James Fowlie and his family. We provide a totally unique experience. You can have a lesson with New Zealand's most experienced coach & try out the delights of dirt biking in a safe and friendly environment. Set in 750 acres of stunning, rolling countryside, the Park is a popular destination for visitors from all around the world, including first-timers, advanced riders, adrenaline seekers and families alike. No licence or experience necessary. When hiring one of our bikes full protective gear provided, as well as available to hire when riding your own bike. Hamilton Golf Club is one of New Zealand's premier golf clubs, welcoming members, the visiting golf enthusiast and its locals for golf or a relaxing coffee in MatteBlack Cafe. Hamilton Golf Club was the venue for the 2023 NZ Amateur Championship, and 2024 NZ Mid-Amateur Championship. Located in the suburb of St Andrews on the northern side of Hamilton the course is only just over an hours drive from central Auckland making it a great course to visit on your days off. It is just a few minutes drive from the centre of the city. Steve & Sarah Hancock operate the pro shop, offering NZPGA Coaching, hire clubs, trundlers and golf carts.

This involves ensuring that expedition participants are aware of their daily route, drive times and activity options during the planning phase We are then able to recommend accommodation options and expedition gear to match the itinerary. Clients are accommodated in completely self-contained private residences (or B&Bs depending on travel time-frames) in some of the most beautiful locations this country has to offer.
