Surf Lessons for all levels from beginner to advanced. Ngarunui Beach in Raglan is the perfect place to learn to surf or improve your surfing. Surf Safe Surf School is very popular with tourists and kiwis. We cater for singles, couples, groups, Families and kids ages 7-15 years. Max of 8 Adults or kids for Surfing lessons. Head Surf Coach Steve Freeman was trained in Europe under the British Surfing Association. Steve is an ISA level 3 Coach and an ISA Surf Contest Judge. Try our 2, 3, 4, 5 or 7 day surfing course. Soft boards, wetsuits and high viz rash vests, photos provided.

We offer scenic day tours to the local attractions, with the bonus of exploring some secluded spots and/or beautiful waterfalls while experiencing authentic Māori culture with our local guides. In our Group Surf Lesson, you will learn all the basics about your board, the waves, how to paddle, stand up, and a dose of surf safety. You’ll be fully prepared before you hit the water and your instructor will be right there beside you, pushing you into waves and offering you their expert tips and tricks. It’s our goal to have you paddling and surfing on your own by the end of your session. We pride ourselves on offering a lesson that sets you up for success and one that keeps you surfing.
