Get ready for an unforgettable night as we light up the Christmas tree for the first time. The SkyCity Hamilton Christmas Tree Lighting Festival event promises a night of festive fun and dazzling lights!
Join Jingles for some jingle-bell rockin' fun in the heart of the city in Garden Place on Saturday, 29 November, from 5 pm to 9 pm.
We'll have food trucks, various beloved characters, face painting, balloon art and live entertainment! Don't forget your picnic blankets. This event is free for all to attend!
New Zealand's biggest and most beautiful Christmas Tree is 27 metres tall to the tip of the star, or over six stories high. It takes a team of 15 people to install the frame and the lighting, fluff the branches, and hang the baubles. The tree will shine brightly in Garden Place and will be a great focal point for the community to gather, watch, perform, and celebrate the festive season.
