Te Awamutu Rotary is excited to host the event, after such an amazing event last year.

The parade in 2024 was such a success with some great floats and an amazing crowd watching.

Thanks to community support, the parade continues to be a highlight for Te Awamutu.

We are very grateful for the support we receive from local business and organisation including Subway, McDonalds, Devoy Signs and Graphics, Wilks Penny Motorcycles, Te Awamutu Lions and many more.
These people have real Christmas spirit and make the task of hosting this event so much easier.

The Te Awamutu Rotary Christmas Parade committee has started planning for the event, with a focus on hosting a safe and fun event for the whole community.

We are anticipating judging to be extremely difficult because of the effort and quality of the floats entered.

The Te Awamutu Rotary Christmas Parade is run entirely by volunteers who enjoy helping spread the Christmas spirit of Peace and Goodwill to our community.

Hadleigh Boutique Lodge

Set on 5 acres, Hadleigh is accessed down a rural lane, the tranquil setting belies its proximity to Hamilton city’s, renowned gardens and busy night life. The quaint settlement of Cambridge is close by. We were particularly drawn to the areas natural beauty, as was Peter Jackson when he chose to film his magical Hobbits here. However, it was the mighty Waikato river, woodland walks and verdant fields, home to New Zealand’s pre-eminent thoroughbred horse industry that drew us in. Following the devastating 2011 ‘quakes, we missed hosting and felt that this new ‘Hadleigh’ was really quite superb, a place we would be proud to share with our guests.

Somersal Bed & Breakfast / Wedding Venue

Somersal is an idyllic Bed and Breakfast Accommodation / Wedding Venue perched on the banks of the Waipa River in Pirongia, Waikato - just 30 minutes north from the Waitomo Caves, 20 minutes from Hamilton and only 10 minutes drive from Te Awamutu. Somersal has available four queen bedrooms (sleeps up to 10) with views out onto the garden or towards the mountain. The Master Queen & Deluxe Queen bedrooms have en suites, while the other two Queen bedrooms share a bathroom with separate shower and toilet. Cooked and/or continental breakfast is included. Tea and coffee facilities are complimentary.

Arbor Lodge offers well appointed self-contained accommodation. The Oarhouse

We are now able to offer our newly completed stand alone Chalet called The Oarhouse with a much envied aspect overlooking Lake Karapiro. It has two suites each with either one Californian bed plus one single or three single beds for up to 6 guests. Each suite has its own en-suite. There is a large lounge / dining room with schist fireplace, full kitchen, separate laundry, carport and extensive decking overlooking the lake. We feel The Oar House would not be out of place amongst New Zealand’s finest.
