Captain's Quarters Motor Inn is located on a back section and provides a quiet environment. The spacious units, quiet location and swimming pool provide opportunity for a relaxing stay. Accommodation includes 3 x 2-bedroom units and 4 (Super King Bed) Studio Units and 2 Twin Studio Units (Queen and Single bed). All units have cooking facilities , digital TV, 8 Sky TV channels, DVD player and free Wi-Fi. Captains Quarters is only a short drive to Lake Karapiro, Hamilton Airport, St.Peter's School and Avantidrome, Mystery Creek and Wedding venues such as Sarnia Park, and Red Barn.

Our unique location provides guests with easy access to excellent shopping, a vast array of restaurants and cafes, cinemas, supermarkets, museum, Waikato Stadium, Waikato Hospital, Waikato University, our famous Hamilton Gardens and gorgeous river and lake walks and the Te Awa river bike trail. Its central location lends itself to endless day trips.

Set on 5 acres, Hadleigh is accessed down a rural lane, the tranquil setting belies its proximity to Hamilton city’s, renowned gardens and busy night life. The quaint settlement of Cambridge is close by. We were particularly drawn to the areas natural beauty, as was Peter Jackson when he chose to film his magical Hobbits here. However, it was the mighty Waikato river, woodland walks and verdant fields, home to New Zealand’s pre-eminent thoroughbred horse industry that drew us in. Following the devastating 2011 ‘quakes, we missed hosting and felt that this new ‘Hadleigh’ was really quite superb, a place we would be proud to share with our guests.

Out in the Styx is a unique rural retreat in New Zealand's central North Island less than one hours drive from Rotorua and Waitomo Caves. We have a drop off service for the NZ National Cycleway. Enjoy comfortable accommodation on 4.5 acres of privately owned farmland. We adjoin 'Sanctuary Mountain', Maungatautari, New Zealand’s largest bird restoration project, a 47km pest proof fence surrounding 3500 hectares of full canopy virgin forest. There are many easy tracks and a 16mtr observation tower on our side of the mountain. Out in the Styx includes a fully licensed cafe with panoramic views, relaxed indoor/outdoor dining for intimate groups or large gatherings.
