Karapiro Willows has the privacy of a hotel with the charm of a country dwelling. From Karapiro Willows you can reach either the West coast with the wild black sand beach of Raglan and nearby Waitomo Caves or the East coast golden sand beach of Mt Maunganui in around 60 minutes drive. The Hobbiton movie set is 20 minutes drive over rolling farmland. Dine, shop, cycle, kayak or swim close-by.

Only 10 minutes from the Hobbiton Movie Set, our luxury B & B is on an orchard & is private & peaceful. Beautiful sunset views with a spa pool under the stars. The apartment is equipped with a kitchen, spacious bathroom and a bedroom that can sleep two singles or a couple (King size). It is separated from the main house by a garage so it is private & you can come and go as you please. A pull out Sofa-bed in the Lounge will sleep another couple or two young children. The property itself has a successful greenhouse and feijoa orchard - feijoas are a popular New Zealand fruit with a unique and exotic flavour. We are now able to offer our newly completed stand alone Chalet called The Oarhouse with a much envied aspect overlooking Lake Karapiro. It has two suites each with either one Californian bed plus one single or three single beds for up to 6 guests. Each suite has its own en-suite. There is a large lounge / dining room with schist fireplace, full kitchen, separate laundry, carport and extensive decking overlooking the lake. We feel The Oar House would not be out of place amongst New Zealand’s finest.
