The Beach Cottage is a recently rejuvenated 50-year-old bach overlooking the beautiful remote Waikorea beach. Waikorea Beach is located between Raglan and Port Waikato on the West Coast of New Zealand's North Island. The Cottage is a 2 bedroom New Zealand style bach overlooking the beach, with every room offering an amazing view. The Cottage is set on a 1500 acre sheep and cattle farm. To keep you warm in the evenings the cosy lounge has an open fire and there are an outdoor brazier and firewood to burn.

Drift to sleep in a plush queen bed with lovely linens, then wake as sunlight streams through your picture-frame windows, bringing the outside world to your bedside. Warm wooden floors complement brass accents, while a botanical mural adorns the wall concealing your bathroom and kitchen. A winding stream borders the property, creating a peaceful soundtrack to your stay, as well as a picturesque spot for a romantic picnic or a private soiree for two. With pathways meandering through lush greenery, the entire property feels like its own pretty park filled with touches of the wild. Stroll down to the sheltered pavilion for magical BBQ evenings, or indulge in the alfresco shower, freestanding bathtub & barrel sauna.

You’ll feel immersed in nature, in an isolated part of Waikato’s west coast. Enjoy expansive views across lush native bush towards the ocean from the viewing platform just a few steps from your door. The exclusive-use barrel sauna will help you completely unwind during your stay, custom-made with a full glass front to showcase this incredible outlook. Fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves in a comfortable queen-size bed. Wake up to birdsong and a coffee from your in-room Nespresso machine.

Details of repurposed century-old rimu throughout the space give the cabin a charming, rustic feel. When it’s time for sleep, curl up into your orthopaedic, super king bed and wrap yourself in Egyptian cotton bedding. The views won’t disappoint; dusk can give Mount Karioi pink, orange and red sunsets and clear nights a stargazing spectacle. Add in the birdsong and cascading views of the flower farm, and you’ll have a pinch-yourself moment as you look out at your snapshot of colour.
