The undercover porch has a bar leaner and BBQ - ideal for prepping that delicious alfresco feast. Wander down a short winding path and natural limestone staircase from the cottage and you'll reach a beautiful bush bath. Further down is a small shaded deck under a Kahikatea tree. It's the perfect place to sit with an evening drink and take in the magic of the streamside bush setting.

Five minutes walk from central Hamilton you’ll find a stunning Studio Cottage uniquely located in a quiet cul-de-sac. Gorgeous French doors open out onto a glorious pool and garden area. The Studio Cottage (with kitchenette) can accommodate 2 guests. There is an en-suite; 40"TV; BBQ; outdoor furniture; private entrance; free off-street parking, free WIFI. Our unique location provides guests with easy access to excellent shopping, a vast array of restaurants and cafes, cinemas, supermarkets, museum, Waikato Stadium, Waikato Hospital, Waikato University, our famous Hamilton Gardens and gorgeous river and lake walks and the Te Awa river bike trail. Its central location lends itself to endless day trips.

Our bespoke studio (built and decorated by Chris and Amanda) is a real little gem. You’ll love enjoying a cuppa in the morning while taking in the view across the gully the gully bank, which we’re restoring with native trees. The bird song makes for a peaceful start to the day. Champion Rest is centrally located, and is a stones throw away from Hamilton Airport, Mystery Creek Event Centre, Lake Karapiro, Hamilton Gardens, Avantidrome and Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari. We’re just a short bike ride away from Te Awa River Ride path, which leads to all sorts of great places including the award-winning Hamilton Gardens, the town of Cambridge and Hamilton City. We provide breakfast - tea, coffee, herb tea, toast and spreads and muesli.
