The cabin consists of a fully enclosed bedroom with a simple but lovely interior. Nordic spruce lines the walls and beautiful natural linens and fibres adorn the bed. Directly outside the bedroom is an outdoor living and kitchen area. An outdoor fire with a mini bread/pizza oven is the perfect place to sit in the evening and watch the birds flitting through the wetlands. The spacious bathroom is next to the bedroom and accessed via the deck. Māhoe Cabin is the ideal way to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and get a much-needed dose of nature.

Bruntwood Lodge is a 3-bedroom Bed & Breakfast situated in peaceful rural surroundings of Cambridge, offering adult-only accommodation with electronic 24-hour access, free WIFI and ample parking. Each of the three luxurious guest rooms has been carefully designed and appointed to ensure your stay is comfortable and relaxing – with customised king-size beds, and includes complimentary breakfast, toiletries, slippers, dressing gown, luxurious towels and a hairdryer for your use. The quaint settlement of Cambridge is close by. We were particularly drawn to the areas natural beauty, as was Peter Jackson when he chose to film his magical Hobbits here. However, it was the mighty Waikato river, woodland walks and verdant fields, home to New Zealand’s pre-eminent thoroughbred horse industry that drew us in. Following the devastating 2011 ‘quakes, we missed hosting and felt that this new ‘Hadleigh’ was really quite superb, a place we would be proud to share with our guests.
