Champion Rest is centrally located, and is a stones throw away from Hamilton Airport, Mystery Creek Event Centre, Lake Karapiro, Hamilton Gardens, Avantidrome and Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari. We’re just a short bike ride away from Te Awa River Ride path, which leads to all sorts of great places including the award-winning Hamilton Gardens, the town of Cambridge and Hamilton City. We provide breakfast - tea, coffee, herb tea, toast and spreads and muesli.

Somersal is an idyllic Bed and Breakfast Accommodation / Wedding Venue perched on the banks of the Waipa River in Pirongia, Waikato - just 30 minutes north from the Waitomo Caves, 20 minutes from Hamilton and only 10 minutes drive from Te Awamutu. Somersal has available four queen bedrooms (sleeps up to 10) with views out onto the garden or towards the mountain. The Master Queen & Deluxe Queen bedrooms have en suites, while the other two Queen bedrooms share a bathroom with separate shower and toilet. Cooked and/or continental breakfast is included. Set on 5 acres, Hadleigh is accessed down a rural lane, the tranquil setting belies its proximity to Hamilton city’s, renowned gardens and busy night life. The quaint settlement of Cambridge is close by. We were particularly drawn to the areas natural beauty, as was Peter Jackson when he chose to film his magical Hobbits here. However, it was the mighty Waikato river, woodland walks and verdant fields, home to New Zealand’s pre-eminent thoroughbred horse industry that drew us in. Following the devastating 2011 ‘quakes, we missed hosting and felt that this new ‘Hadleigh’ was really quite superb, a place we would be proud to share with our guests.
