We are a 4 star Qualmark motel handy to Hamilton CBD. The apartments are refurbished. Our two bedroom units offer queen beds in each bedroom, a large bathroom with spa bath and toilet. An extra toilet/powder room is a definite feature of these rooms. Many of the apartments have large spa baths. All have good sized kitchenettes, many with new fridge freezer. All beds are queen sized and very comfortable after a long journey or a busy day. The Motel complex is modern, attractive and well laid out - free parking is available for all units. There is 100 Mb of free wi fi available. We aim to provide clean, modern well serviced units to our guests. Overall, customer service is key to what we offer at BK Settlers Motor Lodge.

Carve Your Own Pekapeka

Carve your own traditional Māori pendant - the pekapeka: named after the native bat. This workshop is designed with entry-level carvers in mind, but some carving experience is highly recommended, and will take a minimum of 7 - 8 hrs. In this workshop, we will cover the cultural history of the form, the tools and skills necessary for stone-carving and will guide participants through the process of creating a pounamu pekapeka. By the end of the workshop, participants will have a fully completed and bound pekapeka to take home.

Grassroots Trust Velodrome

Our Have-a-Go session is a one-hour track cycling experience on the Velodrome. A Home of Cycling coach will guide you through the basics of track cycling in a safe group environment, whilst building your confidence to get on the track. The session is tailored for those taking part, whether you are an experienced cyclist looking for a new challenge, or haven't spent much time on a bike. Have-a-Go sessions are open to anyone, provided you are at least 10 years old and 135 cm tall. Bike, helmet and coach provided.

Nature & Nosh - 'Heart of the North' Hiking and Food Tour - 6 days

Get a group of 4 to 8 people together and walk our secret back country trails away from the crowds. Visit picturesque farms and take in all their rugged seclusion on private walks. Explore the lands that time forgot on some tracks even the locals don't know about. Walk through the forests of the largest mainland ecological island in the world, where the air is filled with bird song in a forest alive with some of our rarest native birds. Meander along a river that leads to a pure spring and sample some award-winning cheese produced from the rich pastures of the Waikato region. Admire the limestone bluffs that line the gorges of middle earth like lands and admire the rural resilience and beauty that is the heart of our North Island.
