How It Works
Submitting your eatery is a simple process. Once you provide your business details, our team will review your submission and confirm whether your listing can be published on waikatonz.com.
Step 1: Check your eligibility
Before submitting your eatery, please review the listing criteria to make sure your business is eligible.
Your business should be visitor-facing, operating within the Hamilton & Waikato Tourism RTO boundaries, and offer a hospitality experience that is relevant to visitors, event delegates or people exploring the region.

Step 2: Prepare your information
To help us create a useful and accurate listing, please provide complete and up-to-date information.
You will be asked:
Your eatery name
Eater type (restaurant, cafe, pub, etc.)
Food or cuisine type (optional)
Overview of your eatery – a short one-sentence overview
Description – a detailed description of your venue
Good quality images (one main image, up to 10 additional images and a logo (optional)). All images must be in landscape orientation and size 1MB-10MB
Physical address
Contact details
Website or booking link
Opening hours
Accessibility information, if applicable
Dietary options, if applicable
Please make sure all details are accurate at the time of submission.
Step 3: Submit your eatery
Complete the submission form with your eatery details.
The more complete your submission is, the easier it is for our team to review and process your listing.
Step 4: Review and approval
Once submitted, your listing will be reviewed by the Hamilton & Waikato Tourism team. Please allow 2–5 business days for your submission to be reviewed. Review timeframes may vary depending on the completeness of the information provided and the volume of submissions received.
We may edit submitted copy for clarity, consistency, website style and visitor relevance. We may also contact you if more information is needed.
Submitting your details does not guarantee publication.
Step 5: Listing publication
Once your submission has been reviewed, we’ll email you with an update.
If your listing is approved, we’ll let you know once it's published on waikatonz.com. If your submission is unsuccessful, or if we need more information before we can progress it, we’ll contact you using the details provided in your submission.
Once live, your listing will appear under the Eat & Drink section of waikatonz.com. Your listing may also appear on other relevant pages across our website, depending on the structure of the website.
Keeping your listing up to date
You are responsible for ensuring your listing information remains accurate. If your details change, such as opening hours, website links or contact information, please let us know.
