14 March 2022: We're counting down to the launch of Our Moon

Explore the moon’s past, present and future in Our Moon: Then, Now & Beyond at Waikato Museum Te Whare Taonga o Waikato. Open from Saturday 19 March with free entry every day!

On tour from Nelson Provincial Museum, this hands-on exhibition is an out-of-this-world experience.

Visit Our Moon: Then, Now & Beyond and bask in the glow of 'MOON' a 4-metre replica moon printed with high-resolution NASA imagery by British artist Luke Jerram. You'll learn about early attempts to uncover the moon’s secrets through astronomy, the space race that led to humans standing on the moon for the first time in 1969, New Zealand's own innovations with RocketLab, and much more.

This free exhibition has so much to keep curious hands and minds engaged, and is sure to appeal to all ages.
