Hamilton & Waikato Tourism are pleased to utilise part of our Tourism Support, Recovery and Reset (TSRR) funding to provide direct support to tourism operators in the mighty Waikato by offering capability building opportunities. The 2022 schedule of workshops including the HWT Industry Symposium will continue to be updated here.
SUSTAINABILITY 'MOVING WORKSHOP'
Join us for our first sustainability focussed ‘moving workshop’ on Tuesday 20 June.
We’re taking our next sustainability event on the road to Raglan! Come along and visit some great businesses and hear first-hand how they successfully implemented sustainable practices that not only improved their businesses, but also contribute to a regenerative future.
This moving workshop will cover a range of sustainability and regenerative tourism topics and provide tips on improving your sustainability in easy and cost-effective ways as well as the opportunity to network and share ideas with like-minded businesses.
We’ll be joined on our 'moving workshop’ by sustainability expert Nic Turner from Mainstream Green who will share her insights and advice as we travel out to Raglan together.
Once there we will visit the following businesses to hear how they embrace sustainability, and find out how you can implement some of these initiatives as well:
- Raglan Food Co
- Xtreme Zero Waste
- Community Garden and Whāingaroa Environment Centre
- Westcoast Stoneware
- Workshop Brewing
Limited spaces are available for this unique workshop, so register now to avoid missing out.
At this stage, we will be limiting numbers to two representatives per business. If you would like to register more than two people for your business we will waitlist those extra people and let you know once registrations close if space is available to accommodate them.
