The Taniwha

Held along the banks of the mighty Waikato River, The Taniwha multisport event returns on Saturday 2 November 2019.

This event consists of four mountain bike categories and four off-road trail run/walk categories.

Mountain bikers will have a choice of the 14km, 22km, 42.2km, 85km across varying sections of the Waikato River Trails taking in the views of Lake Karapiro, Lake Arapuni and the rural Waikato country side.

The trail run/walk categories include the 7km, 14km, 21.1km, and 42.2km marathon with the tracks crossing swing bridges, passing by Mangakino and taking in native bush.

With levels to suit everyone, there is plenty of opportunity to get involved in this great event.
