On tour from Nelson Provincial Museum, this free hands-on exhibition is an out-of-this-world experience where you can enter the orbit of our fascinating moon. Bask in the glow of MOON by British artist Luke Jerram, a 4-metre replica moon printed with high-resolution NASA imagery and learn about early attempts to uncover the moon’s secrets through astronomy and the space race that led to humans standing on the moon for the first time in 1969.
Our Moon has so much to keep curious hands and minds engaged and is sure to appeal to all ages.
