Driving up the tree lined driveway gives an impression of arriving somewhere special, with stunning grounds that are beautifully kept but still having a relaxed order about them. For those who enjoy walking or running, there are a variety of tracks available to explore, through rural countryside, past old oak stands and alongside many vistas of the Waikato River.

Conference,Meeting and Function facilities: With five uniquely variable function rooms available, The Narrows Landing can cater for many alternatives. From small to larger groups, casual or formal events, they can also offer outdoor event areas on site if needed. The experienced and dedicated Events Manager will take care of your requirements.

Accommodation: Fifteen well appointed, double rooms to choose from, all featuring stained glass panels and blended with old recycled wood and steel. Each of the rooms are welcoming and offer a lovely sense of old world comfort with 21st century facilities.

Restaurant: Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the head chef has designed stunningly delicious menus that feature simple, fresh food with a tasty modern approach. The Narrows Landing also has a superb selection of wines on offer and if time allows, the Maître de would be happy to take you on the tour of their wine cellar.

Main Services

The Narrows Landing is centrally located between and with easy access to SH1 and SH3. It is only 12 kilometres from Hamilton CBD, a mere two minute drive from Hamilton Airport and within four minutes to Mystery Creek.

Surrounded by beautiful Waikato countryside, The Narrows Landing has 15 well appointed accommodation rooms, a conservatory styled restaurant and bar overlooking the gardens, conference and events facilities for up to 200 people and with the added advantage of a large outdoor area available. Ample free parking, walking tracks and two of Hamilton’s popular golf courses are also well within walking distance.

Conference Rooms

The Pirongia Deck:
The largest of all our private rooms, perfect for large events, product expositions, shows, catwalks, dinner presentations.
Equipped with a fixed screen, data projector, bar with Eftpos facilities, sound system, build in stage, fairy lights, upright portable and fixed heaters around the room.
The Pirongia deck has beautiful views, easy access from the car park and has suitable wheel chair access and amenities.

The Great Room:
Located on the lobby level, this spacious and versatile room is very comfortable, welcoming and provides a tranquil ambience. The room enjoys of plenty of natural light with French doors opening onto a private balcony to enjoy breaks al-fresco if preferred.

The Observatory:
Located on the first level, this beautiful room overlooks The Narrows Landing gardens. Large windows and glass roof allow an abundance of natural light and with doors opening onto two side balconies, gives the added benefit of a flood of fresh air into the room.

Governor Grey's Villa:
Glenhope Room and Governor’s Lounge
Addition to our conference capabilities, Governor Grey’s Villa is a Heritage house just a short walk across the lawns from The Narrows Landing hotel. With its original features, wood panels throughout, high ceiling and covered verandah, you will be seduced by the style and character bringing back memories of yesteryears. The 2 small conference rooms can accommodate up to 10 & 14 people.


Take in the magnificent views of the Acacia Reserve and beyond from the Tree Tops Apartment lounge, perhaps indulge yourself in the spa bath in one of our deluxe suites or simply enjoy a hot drink from the balcony of one of our Totara suites. All 15 well appointed double rooms are spacious, stylish and very comfortable.

Dining at The Narrows Landing

Our menus are carefully designed to satisfy the most discerning palates. Dining should be an experience, to indulge oneself and delight the palate. Enjoy a sumptuous meal while taking in the garden views from The Narrows Landing conservatory style restaurant, or if weather permitting, relax out on the substantial adjoining deck area.
If a more dramatic dining experience is preferred, ask about our Wine Tasting Room (catering up to 30 people).

Cellar Table Experience:
The Narrows Landing has opened its picturesque wine Cellar for exclusive and privileged dining. Experience amazing gastronomy crafted by Executive Chef Julian Acraman through a 4 course set menu for $85.00 per person. Handpick your wine under the guidance of Restaurant Manager Yasser Abdeen or let him take you through his own selection to match each course. Make it your special evening. The Cellar is open Tuesday to Saturday night, minimum 6 people and up to 8 maximum, beverages not included. Bookings Essential.
