What is your current role?

What do you enjoy about working at The Verandah Café - Function Centre & Catering?

The people I work for (our guests) and the team I work with. But my favourite thing is the reaction of people eating delicious food.

What was your first job?

My first job was milking cows on dad's dairy farm. Then my first real job was a kitchen hand/chef in training at Rosso Restaurant in Cambridge.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

Mr Whippy

What is an achievement or special credential you're really proud of?

I have two:

1. Launching a new catering business and making it popular and successful. Only bigger & better to come.

2. This year I'm most proud of my self-development as a leader - learning new skills, through reading many books on great leadership and great HR strategies. Next year it will be something different.

What do you do in your spare time?

I like bush walks, binging TV series, adventures around New Zealand and hunting when the freezer needs a top up.

What are you most grateful for in your life?

My family, my friends and my lifestyle.

Who inspires you and why?

Myself in 5 years.

What is your favourite spot in the Waikato?

My favourite spot is Whatawhata (on my parent's farm) in the hills to Raglan.
