Rhonda Beasley

Rhonda Beasley, Owner of ForumPoint2 Conference Partners

What is your current role?

Owner

What do you enjoy about working at ForumPoint2 Conference Partners?

#1, 2 and 3 are my truly amazing staff. I know that phrase has been done to death, but I sincerely 100% mean it. I consider we have been an empathetic, strong, and supportive family through this turbulent time - for each other and for our clients and many valued industry partners. It's been tough, but we are working on innovative new services and boldly looking forward. I am very proud of the progress we have made.

What was your first job?

Working in my dad's chemist shop and oyster shucker!

What did you want to be when you grew up?

#1 a Mum!
#2 an environmental biologist

What is an achievement or special credential you're really proud of?

Walking to base camp of Mt Everest
Being able to work remotely from Australia and empowering my team - particularly Paula Armstrong - to keep the business running smoothly.

What do you do in your spare time?

I love to combine keeping fit with catching up with friends/family during a walk/jog/bike ride. Latest craze for me is listening to podcasts - there is so much rich and wonderful content out there!

What are you most grateful for in your life?

Family.
To live in Australia and New Zealand. Where else would you have wanted to be for the last 3 months!

Who inspires you and why?

Jacinda Ardern - she is such an articulate, intelligent, and excellent communicator. She has been an exceptional and admirable leader since she became the NZ PM.

Have you got a favourite aphorism / motto?

"Seize the day"

What is your favourite spot in the Waikato?

Raglan. I'm a beach chick and Raglan is very like the place I grew up. I love the wildness of the coast, the quirkiness of the village and the casualness of the whole area.
