What is your current role?

Event Operations Manager

What do you enjoy about working at Mighty River Domain?

The variety of events we host. I get to deal with such a diverse range of people and events which makes my job so exciting and forever changing. And of course, the location of my workplace, every morning when I arrive at the beautiful Lake Karapiro, I count myself lucky.

What was your first job?

My first job was working for my father as a Kayak and Stand up paddle board instructor/guide - The Boatshed Kayaks Ltd.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I had always wanted to be a Graphic designer; it was through my graphic design studies that I discovered my passion for events.

What is an achievement or special credential you're really proud of?

Being committed in my sport while juggling my busy work schedule resulting in representing NZ for Dragon Boating in China, Hungary and Thailand at World events.

What do you do in your spare time?

I am a part of the NZ Dragon Boat Premier Women's team, I spend my spare time training and traveling with sport. As well as paddling Waka Ama for Waikato Dragon Boat and Waka Ama Association.

What are you most grateful for in your life?

My family, that they are happy and healthy and support me unconditionally.

Who inspires you and why?

Sara Sigmundsdottir, amazing athelete and personality.

Have you got a favourite aphorism / motto?

Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'I'm possible'! - Audrey Hepburn.

What is your favourite spot in the Waikato?

Lake Karapiro, Pokaiwhenua Stream. The glow worms at night is a sight I will never get tired of.
