What is your current role?

Food and Beverage Manager at Henley Hotel Cambridge.

What do you enjoy about working at Henley Hotel?

Henley Hotel is a beautiful and versatile property. Great owners who keep improving the place and the tools we are working with.

What was your first job?

I was 13 years old and I worked for one of my parents' friends as a waiter in a family style restaurant. Then hospitality instantly became my passion.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

My father used to work for "AEROSPATIALE" which is the equivalent of the French NASA, so I naturally wanted to become an astronaut.

My family (wife and daughter) and my job (worked for Gordon Ramsay in London, Wharekauhau Country Estate Wairarapa and now Henley Hotel Cambridge).

What do you do in your spare time?

I love hunting, clay shooting and spending time with my wife and daughter.

What are you most grateful for in your life?

Being alive (I died for a few minutes after a motorbike accident) and the good health of my family so far.

Who inspires you and why?

My parents are my inspiration by showing me hard working and personal investment in professional involvement.

Have you got a favourite aphorism / motto?

Nothing happens for nothing.

What is your favourite spot in the Waikato?

Probably Cambridge with its open spaces and the country feels.
