Former lawyer, Katy Martley and journalist Lavina Good started Brewbus in 2017 as they saw a gap in the market. Craft beer is ever increasing in popularity worldwide and NZ is no exception.
Brewbus tours cater to the craft beer lover. Local brewers showcase their beers and passion for brewing. The Brewbus crew take people on a journey to each venue while giving a unique, cultural and informative experience. Each tour is personalised for the group. Tours are operating in Tauranga, Hamilton, Taupo, Auckland, and Queenstown/Wanaka with Wellington on request.
While volunteering together at a food rescue service, the women discovered a mutual love of craft beer. They also recognised tourism as a booming industry. The idea was born. And now Brewbus has eight employees and is operating in five regions. The five year plan has been realised in 18 months!
The rapid growth and expansion of Brewbus has been synonymous with the growth of craft beer in this country. Big Wig, Katy Martley and Head Honcho, Lavina Good believe New Zealand has the best craft beer in the world, and the best brewers internationally. The women say that without the amazing brewers willing to share their craft, Brewbus wouldn’t be a success. After all, “It’s about taking the people to the beer” they said. “so why not try the world’s best craft brews aboard the countries best beer tourism operator”.
