Dec 2015: Waikato Chefs Cross the Ditch to Take on the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival

Chefs David Kerr and Ryan Ladbrook and their team from Ember Bar and Restaurant and Kerr & Ladbrook Catering are excited to be crossing the ditch to be part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival 2016.

This is the first time they will be in the kitchen at the festival and they are looking forward to the experience.

The menu from the Hamilton team will be part of the Trans-Tasman: Beer vs Bubbles event where Hamilton’s Good George Beer will be taking on the Yarra Valleys Domaine Chandon Bubbles.

Each course will have local tastes on the plate with influence from New Zealand and Australian ingredients and will be served with a beer and bubbly match. Diners can expect light hearted banter between the brewer and winemaker to convince diners that their offering is a better match.
