The multi-day event in July capitalised on Claudelands’ flexibility and spaciousness by bringing in a collection of supersized quarry machinery and vehicles for the occasion.
“The beauty of Claudelands is that we have plenty of flexible indoor and outdoor space, and it is all easily accessible,” says Murray Jeffrey, H3 Director of Business Development and Marketing.
“The Quarry Conference demonstrated how our clients can bring a significant amount of heavy equipment not only on site but also inside our venue, and really make the spaces their own.”
The group exhibited a sizeable collection of machinery on the venue’s outdoor exhibition plaza for the duration of their conference and also brought some of the large quarry trucks inside to act as key features during their two onsite dinner functions.
“Having these big, bold vehicles as part of the room theming for their dinners was a unique touch and tied the whole event together,” says Jeffrey.
With large indoor and outdoor exhibition spaces, flexible conference facilities and a 6000-capacity indoor arena to boot, Claudelands has the space, expertise and attitude to help clients achieve pretty much any vision for their event.
“When it comes to unusual client requests or grand plans, we’ve definitely had our fair share through the doors since opening in June 2011,” says Jeffrey.
“We’ve enabled clients to dress our spaces in practically every sort of theming imaginable, hold everything from cosy chef’s table dinners to massive banquets in the arena, entertain the idea of suspending vehicles from the ceiling, install massive hanging flower arrangements and transform an unused barn on our property into an intimate function space. We’ve seen them utilise practically every inch of our venue…There really is nothing we can’t and won’t do to help our clients achieve their vision.
“Our team are always up for a challenge – we encourage you to contact us and find out how we can help deliver on the vision for your next event.”
