New Business Development Executive hits ground running

A new face joined H3’s Business Events team just in time for the busy tradeshow and famil season.

Tracey Packwood was appointed to the role of Business Development Executive in April, after participating in H3’s intensive 18-month graduate development programme. Currently in its sixth year, the programme sees graduates work across all areas of the business – from sales and marketing, through to event operations, administration, technical services and finance.

At the time of her appointment Tracey said she was excited to be moving into the new position with a strong set of skills and knowledge under her belt, and since then has wasted no time getting stuck into the role – supporting the team during a busy schedule of tradeshows including Convene North, Corporate PA Summit and MEETINGS 2019, as well as helping host invited guests on a bespoke 24-hour ‘Taste Of Waikato’ famil in May, organised in partnership with Novotel Tainui, Hobbiton Movie Set and Business Events Waikato.

“I’ve loved every minute of the role so far – it is an exciting space to be working in and I’m really enjoying making connections with clients and others throughout the industry,” says Tracey, who is currently in the midst of planning a famil for local corporate clients to help familiarise them with three of H3’s venues – Claudelands, FMG Stadium Waikato and The Grandstand.
