The Waikato River Explorer is set for a big summer season, with new jetty facilities under construction at Hamilton Gardens. Darren Mills (Owner) says that as part of the ongoing development programme at Hamilton Gardens, the Explorer’s temporary pontoon and ramp will be replaced with a new structure come September 2017.
Waikato will welcome around 800 international Indigenous studies experts in June 2019. The event will put the region on the world stage as a cultural hub and is expected to deliver more than $1.7 million to the economy.

Mayor Allan Sanson of the Waikato District Council joined Zealong in celebrating their recent triumph at 2017 Global Tea Championship Fall in Colorado, USA. The Estate’s Black and Oolong tea bags received “gold” first-place honours in their respective categories and the Green tea bags achieved top honours by coming second in its category.
